FAQ

Oh my gosh! This event sounds amazing! When do tickets go on sale?
Now! We only have 55 tickets to sell so get one while they're hot! (Register here.) And make sure to follow us on Facebook and Twitter so you don’t miss any pertinent symposium updates.

I own a business or brand and am interesting in sponsoring and/or attending this event. Is it too late? Who do I contact about this?
It's not too late and you can contact Megan Silianoff regarding your interest.

Who is this symposium for? How do I know if I should attend?
This symposium is for anyone (male and female) interested in blogging. (And by no means do you need to be from Houston!) Whether you're an expert blogger or still in the beginning stages of developing a blog, this symposium is for you. Bloggers at every level have something to gain from what will go down at the ZaZa.

If you're a business or brand owner thinking about working with bloggers at some point, this symposium will be equally beneficial for you. Not only would you get to meet a bunch of bloggers but learn how other companies (like Langford Market, Francesca's, and the rest of our attending sponsors) have incorporated blogger relationships into their business.

Are there a block of rooms available for people who want to spend the night at Hotel ZaZa?
But of course! They're first come, first serve. Just tell the front desk that you're staying overnight in part of the Houston Blogger Symposium and you'll get the discounted rate of $179.

What’s the deal with parking at Hotel ZaZa?
  • Valet is going to be $12 per car - just make sure to tell the valet you're with the Houston Blogger Symposium - as that's a discounted rate.
  • Overnight valet is $27 per car.
  • There is some street parking around Hotel ZaZa but it's pretty limited.
  • Your best bet is to be dropped off and picked up, especially if you plan on having a little bubbly. The Houston Blogger Symposium is officially AGAINST drinking and driving.
What should I wear?
No shirt, no shoes, no service. Other than that, anything goes! Outfits will likely run the gamut from dresses and jeans to stilettos and flip flops. You will be getting your picture snapped, compliments of sponsor, Paige Budde, so don't be afraid to work it!

Should I bring business cards for my blog?
It's not required but probably a good idea. Don't have any and want some neat ones? Hire Kirsten to design them for you. Guaranteed you'll have the best ones in the room. (Not that it's a competition.) But if it was, you'd win.
